Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club used to play at Prestwick Old but in 1877 they purchased a bit of land and that’s where they still are today. As many fantastic courses that happens to be next to world famous places it is sometimes overlooked in favour of courses like Troon and of course Prestwick. However, St Nick’s, as it’s called locally, is a very fine course in its own right. It is a touch short, but with so many blind shots, bunkers and other obstacles the need to plan your shots carefully ensures that length is not really an issue. It is also one of the friendliest courses we have ever visited and with sensibly priced green fees a visit to Prestwick St Nicholas is well worth it.
