Elevated greens, doglegs and risk/reward holes make this an interesting course to play!
The Portmarnock Hotel Links is a beautiful, understated links course designed by Bernhard Langer that opened in 1996.
Built on the land that the Jameson whiskey family once owned, like its more famous neighbour Portmarnock, this course is slightly more forgiving and significantly cheaper.
Having said that, there is plenty to keep all levels of golfers interested, elevated greens, plenty of doglegs and the recent re-working of holes 10 to 13 has created several interesting risk/reward options.
If you are coming for a weekend and concentrating on the courses around Portmarnock we recommend you stay at the hotel here as you then get a discount on the green fee!
