Carnoustie is one of the few courses in the world that is so good that it is actually difficult to describe just how good it is! A must for all golfers at least once in life.
Carnoustie has actually got three courses, the famous Championship which has hosted The Open many times, the Burnside Course and The Buddon Links.
The Championship is a true classic seaside course which is often placed in the top 10 of the worlds best courses and once you have played it, it’s easy to see why.
It was Old Tom Morris that turned it into an 18 hole course in 1857 and in 1926 it was James Braid that redesigned it, probably the two most famous golf designers in golf.
Not much has changed since then, the meandering burns, the cavernous bunkers and the fearsome gorse takes turns stealing your golf balls, make sure you have plenty in your bag before you tee off!
Carnoustie is one of those courses we think everyone should try to play at least once in their life.
