Opinions might differ over the man behind this course but putting that aside it is quickly apparent that this is an astonishing piece of golf. Martin Hawtree, who designed the course, famously said in 2012 when it opened that he had only done 5% of it, the rest was as mother nature intended. There are six markers on the tees to choose from, the further back not only makes the course longer but also more difficult as several of the bunkers are placed so they only create difficult for players choosing those tees. Trump International is a classic seaside course with 9 holes out and 9 back, however as the course is heavily based in a deep valley it isn’t necessarily as windy as other courses are. This course is one of the few that allows visitors on the weekend, as well as allows 2 rounds in the same day, and we often book it as such. We often get comments from clients that they have been pleasantly surprised at not only the quality of the course, but how nice everyone is, which goes to show, you can’t judge a book by it’s cover!
