Trump Turnberry Hotel

The iconic Trump Turnberry Hotel has survived a lot the last 100 or so years since it was first built. During the war years the military used as a base, both for personnel but also for injured soldiers. Today it’s a 5-star luxury resort with its very own helipad!

All rooms are beautifully decorated in dark blue and gold, even the taps in the bathroom are in gold…Everything is top of the range, from the amazing beds to the enormous flat screen TVs. The hotel has several restaurants and bars, all looking out towards the famous light house, the Ailsa Course, and of course the sea.

Their spa is also something very special, with probably the best view a golfer could ask for! If you are travelling in a large group Trump Turnberry also has villas with up to 8 bedrooms and large social areas.

Guests get preferential green fee rates which makes it quite good value if you wish to play both courses or more.

Carlton Hotel

Carlton Hotel in Prestwick is a modern hotel close to both Prestwick Golf Club and Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club. You will also find Logan’s Bar here, a very popular place with the locals.

All of the rooms are en-suite and have TV, telephone, tv/coffee tray and hairdryer. They also have a small menu for room service should you wish to dine in. The hotel has a large parking area that is free for guest, which is why we recommend Carlton Hotel for those of you that like to self-drive.

The Gailes Hotel

On the outskirts of Irvine and next door to Gailes Links Golf Club is the Gailes Hotel. A small resort with its own 9 hole course, driving range and practice area. Most of this 4-star hotel is recently renovated and has now also got a wonderful spa area with a pool and jacuzzi. The hotel can arrange transfer to the local courses of which there are lots!

Old Loans Inn

In the small village of Loans is the fabulous country pub The Loans Inn which has 20 beautifully decorated bedrooms. All rooms are en-suite and have TVs, docking stations, tea/coffee making facilities and free WiFi.

Old Loans Inn is a great base for those of you that are playing courses like Western Gailes, Dundonald Links and Troon as it only about 10 minutes away. This pub is very popular with the locals and have won prices for its food.

If you want to stay at a traditional Scottish Inn, this is the place for you!

Kylestrome Hotel, Bar & Grill

Kylestrome Hotel is in Ayr and has been recently renovated and are now modern and bright. Most of the rooms now have either two beds or a kingsize. There’s flat screen TVs, telephones and free WiFi, as well as coffee/tea making facilities in all rooms.

The restaurant and bar are very busy, they serve some fantastic cocktails in the bar and most of the produce in the restaurant is locally sourced.
