Murcar Golf Club lies next to Royal Aberdeen and even though it is, in our opinion, just as good as its neighbour, it is sometimes overlooked on itineraries. Some of the holes on the south side run along Royal Aberdeen and after being recently renovated it is now attracting more visitors. The first couple of holes are fairly easy, a nice warm up we think, but already on the 3^rd you understand why some reviewers refer to Murcar as bit of a pinball game, when you manage to reach the green it feels like you’ve been transported to the moon! One of our favourites is the quirky 5^th hole on which there is no fairway between tee and green! Murcar is an experience we wholeheartedly recommend.
