The Fairmont Resort has two courses, the Torrance Course (after Sam Torrance) and the Kittocks Course. The resort is a ten minute drive from central St Andrews, on the way to Kingsbarns and Crail, and residents get a discounted green fee.

Torrance is quite long at 7230 yards from the back tees, the 2^nd hole, a par 4, and the 6^th, a par 5, are particularly difficult. On the 16^th, which is where the course returns back, you get a really great view of the stunning landscape and the sea.

Kittocks is seen by some as the little brother, but we think it’s a great course in it’s own right and a fair few actually think it’s better once they have played both. Several of the holes need careful planning, and the course is more seaside in our opinion.
