North Berwick was established in 1832 and is thereby the third oldest club where golf is still played. Six of the holes are played alongside that water, and if the tide is in, it’s one giant water hazard! Several old stone walls, some right in the middle of fairways, cavernous bunkers and exceptionally fast greens makes North Berwick one of the best golf courses in the world.

Many of the holes here have been copied to other courses around the world, none more often than the 15^th, a par 3, which you will also find at Pebble Beach.
