At Waterville the new routing of the holes, counter clock wise, then clock wise, then back and forth, keeps the interest going and ensures you never know which way the wind is going to blow!
Waterville Golf Links on the Ring of Kerry isn’t the easiest golf course to get to, but we think it’s worth it. Whilst golf has been played here since the 1890’s it wasn’t until the late 1980’s it became well known internationally after Tom Fazio was brought in by the new owners to update the course.
He did an amazing job merging the ‘2 halves’ into one spectacular 18 hole course, which flows remarkably well along the estuaries and against a magnificent mountainous backdrop. In particular the new routing of the holes, counter clock wise, then clock wise, then back and forth, keeps the interest going and ensures you never know which way the wind is going to blow!
Waterville has a new clubhouse that although modern sits very well in the surroundings, and unlike many other links clubs it has a good practice area both for long and short game, as well as two putting greens.
