WHY BOOK WITH US?

ABOUT US…

Seaside Golf Tours is a British Limited Company registered in London. It is owned and operated by husband and wife team Paul and Maria Richardson. Maria has worked within the golf travel industry for many years whilst Paul has a background in IT. Both of them have played golf most of their lives, in her youth Maria was part of the Stockholm County Golf Team.

Maria has travelled extensively throughout all of the UK and Ireland and is very familiar with all the destinations Seaside Golf Tours offer, between them they have either visited or played all the golf courses on offer. Their office is situated in the small town of Skipton in North Yorkshire and they only have a few hours’ drive to the courses in North England and Scotland.

As golfers themselves they understand and appreciate the little details that makes a golfing holiday perfect, from early breakfasts being available before you are teeing off, to what to wear to suit the weather and the golf club you are visiting, and of course, which holes are the easiest ones to score well on!

PAYMENT TERMS

After we have sent you our final proposal you have 10 days to accept it, once you have accepted it you will need to pay the deposit, the amount varies between destinations as some golf clubs are stricter than others.

The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure, apart from airline tickets which are payable at the same time as the deposit. As a small company with small margins we prefer payment by bank transfer but it is also possible to pay through PayPal. Please note that deposits are non-refundable should you need to cancel.

If the golf clubs, hotels, or Seaside Golf Tours cancel you will be entitled to a full refund. We always empathise the need for adequate travel insurance as you never know what can happen between booking and departure.

Common questions about playing golf in the UK

  • Golf buggies – on many of the older, most well-known courses , golf buggies are not allowed. At some golf clubs they will have one or two buggies for those with medical needs and a doctor’s certificate will be required. We always recommend the use of a caddie, especially if you will struggle to carry your bag yourself.
  • Dress code – all  golf courses will require smart casual, ie no jeans, t-shirts without collar and shorter shorts. In the club houses, golf clothes are usually fine, but please check before, as it can differ from club to club. No studded shoes are allowed in club houses.
  • Mobile telephones – most golf clubs have a ban on mobile telephones in the club house as well as on the course.
  • Practice opportunities – driving ranges are unusual to find in the same area as the golf course, however, there are usually short game practice areas and putting greens available.
  • Weekend green fees – most golf clubs are private members clubs and therefore do not allow guests on Saturdays before lunch, several of them do not allow guests at all, and on Sundays it is difficult to get a tee time before 10am. We recommend you bear this in mind when planning your vacation.
