Princes golf course has had plenty of work to make it an interesting play, with 3 sets of 9 holes that can be played in several ways.
Princes Golf Club is rather unique in that they have three sets of nine holes, that can be played in several different orders, called Shores, Dunes and Himalayas, with the first two making up the championship course.
A lot of work has gone into making Princes more interesting as previously it was considered the poorer neighbour of Royal St George, and whilst it is probably never going to be quite as amazing, it is now a really good links course.
Martin Ebert is the man behind the changes, and as he also consults at Royal St George and Royal Cinque Port, he not only knew the area well, but also how to tweak Princes layout to something much more fluid that fits the landscape better. There are now new tees, some more dunes and a completely new 5th hole on the Shores nine. Princes is now definitely worth a visit, and for those of you that like to play more than 18 holes a day, its 27 holes makes great sense.
